IDA Ireland Announces Appointment of Deirdre O’Connor

IDA Ireland is pleased to announce the appointment of Deirdre O’Connor as Divisional Manager, Strategic Property and Regional Enterprise Development. In taking up this appointment, Deirdre also joins IDA’s Executive Leadership Team.

Deirdre specialises in spearheading large-scale and complex development projects from initial stages to fruition with a focus on quality place making and sustainable development. She brings extensive leadership and governance expertise to the role and has a strong track record in strategic stakeholder engagement. 

Deirdre joins IDA Ireland from NAMA, where she served as Deputy Chief Commercial Officer & Head of Planning playing a key role in executing NAMA’s Dublin Docklands and Residential Business Plans. Beyond her professional achievements, Deirdre has demonstrated dedication to public service, previously serving on the Board of Clúid Housing Association and currently contributing as a Board member of LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.

Bio Deirdre O’Connor:
Deirdre holds a Bachelor of Science in Regional Development, a Master’s in Regional and Urban Planning, an MSc in Real Estate, and a Diploma in Company Direction. She is a Corporate Member of the Irish Planning Institute, a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, and a Member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland.
