The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the premier post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry, today announced that it intends to open a new office in Dublin, Ireland, to continue providing an authorised regulatory reporting service for clients in the EU27 and the UK as the UK advances towards a departure from the European Union (EU) in March 2019. DTCC offers a Global Trade Repository (GTR) service for over-the-counter and exchange traded derivatives reporting – the largest trade repository in the world.
Dublin – 16th July 2018, Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys TD today announced that, Cerner, a supplier of health and care technology and services, plans to significantly grow its Dublin hub for research and development. Working with the support of the Irish Government through IDA Ireland, Cerner will create 50 new roles focussed on R&D and the improvement of data intelligence and population health management for its European clients.
BD, a leading global medical technology company, today announced the creation of 85 new jobs for the Limerick region. The €21 million investment in BD’s new centre of excellence has already seen 100 jobs recruited for the facility in 2017 and early 2018. The announcement of these 85 additional positions will bring the total number of employees across BD’s two Limerick sites to 285.
SkOUT Secure Intelligence, a leading provider of cyber-security technology and solutions to businesses, organisations and SMEs, is creating 30 high-value jobs with the opening of its new EMEA HQ in Portlaoise, Co Laois. Amazon announced that it is creating more than 1,000 permanent new jobs in Ireland over the next two years. In addition to central Dublin, where Amazon opened a new 170,000 square foot building today, these highly skilled roles will be based in Amazon locations in North County Dublin, Blanchardstown, and Tallaght.
