Leitrim, Ireland, 12th May 2010 Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation, Batt O’Keeffe T.D. today announced that Mirror Controls International (MCI) is to consolidate its European manufacturing operations into its Irish plant based in Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim. The transfer of production to the Manorhamilton facility will commence by mid-summer 2010 and will result in the creation of 50 jobs and the expansion of the existing facility. This investment is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
Mirror Controls International (MCI) is the leading global supplier of motorised actuators for exterior automotive mirror systems. Mirror Controls International Ireland Ltd. has supplied the automotive industry since 1978 and supplies products to all major car manufacturers and currently employs 110 people.
Commenting on the announcement Minister O’Keeffe said: “Today’s announcement is excellent news for Mirror Controls International Ireland. It is a significant win for the Irish operation, further embedding the Irish operation’s role within the Company’s global business providing excellent career opportunities for people in the North West region.”
